Design Specifications

Design Recommendations:
The Affluent Boston postcard is like a mini “billboard”.
The image and headline should capture the reader’s attention immediately.

Software Requirements:
Page Layout: InDesign CS4
Art Elements: Vector, tif, jpeg, pdf

Artwork Specifications:
Card Size 6" x 4.25"

Safe Image Area
5.625 x 3.875, with the
bleed size add .125

Stock photos and scans not included in rates.
Image resources will be at the advertiser's expense.

* Graphics and all specified colors should be 4-color process (CMYK) and in
tiff/eps, jpeg and pdf format with no compression.
300 DPI

Fonts:
Use Macintosh fonts. All fonts (printer and screen) must be included in the fonts folder. Any missing fonts will be substituted for “like” fonts and may not meet your design expectations.

Digital File Requirements:
• Four-color or grayscale images should be scanned hi-resolution at 300 dpi.
(Note: no images from websites)
• Scanned line art (1-bit color) should be a minimum of 800 dpi.
• Graphics and all specified colors should be 4-color process (CMYK) and in tiff/eps format with no compression.
• Include all linked images as well as fonts. If imported graphics from Adobe Illustrator or Freehand contain fonts, please convert those fonts to outlines or paths.

Disk:
All files to be supplied via email or burned to a CD.

Support Documents:
Include a color proof of card layout.
